American Society for Professional Graphology
2007 Application for Membership

Thank you for your interest in the American Society of Professional Graphologists. We have two types of affiliations, Professional Member and Associate.

The Professional Membership is open to applicants who are actively involved in handwriting analysis or handwriting identification on a professional basis or are conducting research for publication or presentations. The applicant’s education, training, publications and experience will be reviewed, and references may be requested. Handwriting analyses may be requested to supplement the application.

Associate of ASPG is open to all who are interested in the study of handwriting and in enhancing their understanding of the subject. There are no requirements.

Professional Membership dues:   $ 125 in the U.S.
                                                                $   60 outside the U.S.

Associate of ASPG dues:                $ 125 in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut
                                                                $   60 outside the New York metropolitan area

Dues includes three New York conferences per year (occasionally a special fourth lecture), a regular yearly newsletter, and, every few years, a copy of the Society’s journal as it becomes available. Professional members may note their membership on their stationery.

ASSOCIATE OF ASPG

There are no requirements for Associate of ASPG. However, we would be interested in information about your occupation, experience, special interests in graphology, or any related courses you have taken. The more we understand our participants’ backgrounds and interests, the better we can tailor our programs. Thank you for your interest. We look forward to your involvement as an Associate of ASPG.

For consideration of Professional Membership, we request the following information to give Board Members an understanding of your training and background. Not all of the requested information is required of qualified applicants. However, for those people who were not trained by ASPG, we do require at least the three categories of information that are starred (*).

Please attach a resume that includes:
    *Education in handwriting analysis or handwriting identification, years
    *Degrees or certificates - undergraduate, graduate or professional
    References (letters of recommendation may be included as well)
    Listing of publications (include one or two articles if available)
    * Sample(s) of analysis -
       (with handwritings but without names or identifiable references)
    Listing of lectures presented or teaching positions
    Professional experience
    Court qualifications, if applicable

Other helpful information might include:
    Resources (bibliography) you use most and method of training
    Conferences attended
    Particular area of interest
    Individual research project(s)
