Different perspectives will be applied to analyzing handwriting depending on the handwritings being evaluated. Under the umbrella of a gestalt approach, these will include using the Anthony graphological psychogram, the concepts of movement, form and space, insights from Pophal's different forms of tension, Kiersey temperaments and Mythological typology.

The two classes in handwriting identification will include real cases, concepts for determining authenticity, procedures related to the acquisition of comparison documents, and mock testimony.

Fee for the 8 sessions: $360. There is a $20 discount ($340) for checks or money orders received before December 31, 2009. There is another $10 discount for Professional Members or Associates of ASPG who send in their 2010 dues before December 31.

Students who satisfactorily complete four semesters of classes will be certified by The American Society of Professional Graphologists.

Patricia Siegel is an executive coach, handwriting analyst and identification expert, and is currently President of The American Society of Professional Graphologists. Ms. Siegel co-directed an accredited handwriting analysis program at The New School for Social Research for seventeen years, where she previously received her training and certification in the psychology of handwriting and handwriting identification under Daniel and Florence Anthony. She continues to teach privately. Her publications include chapters in Experiencing Graphology and Graphology Across Cultures, and articles in the Journal of the American Society of Professional Graphologists, the Journal of the British Academy of Graphology, La Graphologie, and as a co-author in The Psychiatric Clinics of North America. Ms. Siegel is Board Certified, Diplomat status, by the American Board of Forensic Examiners, received her B.S. degree from Cornell University, has an M.A. degree in industrial and organizational psychology from New York University, and a Professional Coaching Certification from Baruch College.

Lois Vaisman, M.A., M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work, has a Clinical Psychoanalytic Certificate from New York University, a Master of Science in Special Education from Queens College, and engaged in post graduate studies at Hebrew University and Bank Street School of Education. She studied graphology under Florence and Daniel Anthony at the New School and later co-directed the Psychology of Handwriting Program at New School University (1980-1995). She is currently Vice-President of The American Society of Professional Graphologists. As a professional graphologist and a licensed psychotherapist, and certified life coach, she combines her multiple disciplines for use in personnel selection, contested custody/visitation disputes, coaching and individual psychotherapy. She has worked at Columbia Presbyterian Psychiatric Institute and Bronx Children and Adolescent Hospital. Lois Vaisman is a supervising clinician at the Bergen Family Center and also maintains a private practice.
